Our Principal
Steven C. Griffin is the President and CEO of CVision Corporation. Griffin is a graduate-trained agricultural economist with over 30 years experience in public and private service demonstrating organizational and administrative skills, grantsmanship, innovative research, risk management, and diverse range of strategic initiatives in farm management, production economics, and agricultural risk management.

Recent assignments serving as an expert witness in a number of crop insurance related arbitrations and litigations. He reviewed new product and procedures for the FCIC Board of Directors; developed responses to compliance issues and policyholder disputes with an AIP; and lead large-claim investigations. He has developed startup companies; utilizing cutting edge technology; and creating historic firsts in the federal crop insurance program.
He is a prolific writer in technical articles, management reports, and popular press and an experienced presenter to technical, governmental, academic and public audiences.
He is adept at reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining government and private industry programs, budgets, and collateral materials with agricultural impact.
Griffin comes with a solid livestock and crop production background familiar with most agricultural regions and continuing interest in cutting edge technology, best management practices, environmental quality, and geographic information systems.
His insurance product management skills, including rate-making, policy language, underwriting guidelines, systems requirements, regulatory requirements, and sales and marketing management, has had a profound impact on the crop insurance industry as the primary instrument of GRIP, PDP, and production plan crop-hail.
He is experienced in all levels of reinsured company operations (Underwriting, IT, Claims, Compliance, Marketing); a expert in managing the Standard Reinsurance Agreement for underwriting gain; all of which has made him a valued expert witness for MPCI claims litigation.
Griffin earned his AFIS designation in October, 2010.
In his spare time, he is a university educator in agricultural economics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and business statistics.
